These bowls have a lovely calming presence about them. They are vintage Japanese lacquer bowls with hand painted designs of a house on the mountainside and gorgeous clouds. They are in excellent condition. There are 5 of them in the set. The warm russet color is very beautiful and the bowls feel good in your hand.

They have what I like to think of as “the quality”
They are marked on the bottom “Made in Japan” and the letters NTS inside a diamond shape.

One bowl has a chip in the lacquer inside and one has wear on the rim.
