This adorable elephant was probably made in the 1940’s or early 50’s. I haven’t been able to find anything out about it. It has a small sticker on the bottom with the name “Ida Graves”. The only other mark is a tiny incised number “0”.

The lines of this piece are so beautiful, and the glaze is slightly speckled and really pretty. It measures 9” tall and is in perfect condition. There is a tiny manufacturing flaw on the left flank of the elephant where they missed a tiny spot of glazing.

This piece would be great for a kid’s room or even in a bathroom.
